- AACSB’s DataDirect can be used to produce a list of definitions although this is only available to Schools who submit the annual AACSB Business School Questionnaire (BSQ). Login to DataDirect, hover over ‘Benchmarking’ and select ‘Report Writer’ and ‘Complete’ report style. Select the comparison group and BSQ year (ignore the arithmetic section which applies to numerical reports). Then select the BSQ-Business School Questionnaire variables and Variable Family for the four definitions. Click ‘Add Selected Variables’ and ‘Generate Report’.
What measurements are used to demonstrate peer-reviewed journal quality?
- The Australian Business Deans' Council (ABDC) Journal Quality List is widely used in Australasia.
- AACSB provides a list of journal rankings for schools to explore (AACSB does not endorse any particular ranking list).
- Also used in Australasia is: SCImago, FT top 50, UT Dallas.

- Some Australian business schools have pointed to the national Quality in Learning and Teaching (QILT) website maintained by the government.
- In New Zealand, there is the same option to link students to Careers New Zealand to view student and graduate outcomes (e.g. for the AUT Bachelor of Business)
- Others schools update a school web page with selected information each year.

Managing an accreditation review visit.
What are some common tips for managing a review visit?
- The base room should over-provide and showcase the school, e.g. texts and articles written by faculty, programme brochures, posters, etc.
- Attention to detail e.g. securing a purpose-built space for the meetings and base room, hotel proximity to campus, connectivity, spaces for debriefing sessions, dedicated tech support staff on hand, personalised coffee orders for the team.
