2022 Annual Meeting.

The Australia and New Zealand Quality and Accreditation Network (ANZQAN) celebrates its
15th Annual Meeting at the University of Wollongong, School of Business, in 2022.
Wednesday November 30 – Friday 2 December

Objective.

The objective of the Annual Meeting is to improve quality and accreditation practice through: 
  • sessions providing in-depth discussion and analysis into key quality and accreditation issues;
  • interactive sessions on current practices such as assurance of learning, tips, techniques and pitfalls around preparing and managing peer review visits;
  • providing an opportunity for the accrediting bodies to engage with ANZQAN; and,
  • providing a forum for ANZQAN members to network and share ideas and practices.  
Representatives from the major accrediting bodies will be attending and participating in the program.​

Registration.

An early bird registration fee of $320 (inclusive of GST) for the two days is available until 31 October 2022, and includes the 2 day Annual Meeting with all food, drinks, gift bag and the Annual Meeting Dinner. From 1 to 14 November, a standard registration fee of $350 is applicable.

Individual options, where registrants can choose to attend any combination of Day 1 or Day 2 of the Annual Meeting, the Annual Meeting Dinner and Orientation Session and Welcome Drinks are also available.

Accommodation.

The Sage Hotel Wollongong, 60-62 Harbour Street Wollongong NSW 2500, is the preferred accommodation provider for the 2022 ANZQAN Annual Meeting. You can either book online at the Sage Hotel Wollongong website or by telephone on +61 2 4201 2111.
 
Alternatively, you may wish to consider staying at either the Novotel Northbeach, Adina Apartment Hotel Wollongong or the Quality Suites Pioneer Sands.

 UITransport and Parking.

Wollongong is an easy 80 minute drive south from the Sydney CBD and Airports via the Princes Motorway (M1) or a 60 minute drive from Macarthur in Sydney’s west via the Westlink (M7). Alternatively, take the scenic Grand Pacific Drive and experience coastal rainforests, quaint seaside villages and the magnificent 665 metre Sea Cliff Bridge all on your way into Wollongong. If you would prefer to just sit back and enjoy the scenery then you could book an airport transfer with either Leisure Coast Limousines or Illawarra Airport Services.

You can also travel to Wollongong by rail/train on the Sydney Train’s South Coast Line. Sydney Trains operate commuter trains at regular intervals to North Wollongong and Wollongong City. If travelling from Sydney domestic or international airports catch a train on the Airport Line to Wolli Creek Station then disembark and board the next South Coast Line train to Wollongong. If traveling from Canberra by car, take the Hume Highway to the Moss Vale exit and travel to Wollongong via the Illawarra Highway. This journey will take approximately three hours. Alternatively, take the Hume Highway to the Picton interchange and follow the Picton Road/Mt Ousley Road into Wollongong. This journey will take approximately two hours and 30 minutes.

There is no direct rail/train link between Canberra and Sydney however Murrays offers a daily coach/bus service between Canberra and Wollongong. For more information visit

Once you arrive in Wollongong it is easy to get around the city. UOW and Wollongong City Council provide a free Gong Shuttle Bus service for residents and visitors linking our Wollongong campus with the city centre, North Wollongong and Wollongong train stations and city accommodation. Just jump on the Route 55A/55C Gong Shuttle bus and it will bring you direct to the Wollongong Campus at no cost. For information on the free Gong Shuttle Bus visit

Please note that bus and train services in Sydney and Wollongong use the pay-as-you-go Opal card system. Opal cards can be purchased at most newsagents and convenience stores. North Wollongong Train station is a 15-minute walk or a short free shuttle bus ride to the Wollongong Campus.
If you wish to drive to the Wollongong Campus, there are paid parking spots in the P4 parking station, which is the closest car park to Building 29, or P3 parking station however parking spots may be limited.
