2018 Annual Meeting.

The Australia and New Zealand Quality and Accreditation Network (ANZQAN) celebrates its 11th Annual Meeting at the University of Tasmania, Tasmanian School of Business and Economics, in 2018.​

Objective.

The objective of the Annual Meeting is to improve quality and accreditation practice through: 
  • sessions providing indepth discussion and analysis into key quality and accreditation issues;
  • interactive sessions on current practices such as assurance of learning, tips, tricks, pitfalls around preparing self-assessment reports and managing peer review visits;
  • providing an opportunity for the main accrediting bodies to attend and engage with ANZQAN; and,
  • providing a forum for ANZQAN members to network and share ideas and practices.  
Representatives from the major accrediting bodies, AACSB and EFMD, will be attending and participating in the programme.​

Wednesday 28 November

Thursday 29 November

Annual meeting

6:00 - 9:00 pm:
Dinner for delegates and delegate guests

Registration.

The registration fee for the two days is $325 (including GST) for early bird registration (prior to 15 October 2018) and $375 (including GST) after early bird expires. 
Registrations are open now and will run up to the day prior to the event. Click here to register.
The fee includes all morning and afternoon teas, lunches, the welcome function (no accompanying persons) and one evening dinner (drinks included).
Accompanying persons are welcome to attend the dinner at a cost of $90.00 per person (dinner and drinks) to be paid under a separate registration.

Accommodation.

The end of November is the peak period for Hobart heading into Christmas so we advise that you book your hotels well in advance.The University of Tasmania has negotiated special rates and made block bookings at two hotels below, which are within walking distance of the School of Creative Arts. If you would prefer accommodation nearer to Hobart, you could look at booking.com - type in Arts School UTAS and it will provide the distance from the School of Creative Arts.

Approx 3 mins walk from the School of Creative Arts.
Rates (room only): Mountain View Room $260.00 or Harbour View Room $295.00
The Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel 
Approx 8 mins walk from the School of Creative Arts.
Rate (room only): One bedroom apartment $195.00 
Other hotel options that are very near the venue for the meeting are:

(Note - the University has not held any rooms at these facilities)

There are other hotels within a 10 minute walk on the waterfront, in the CBD or near Salamanca Place and Square. 
Air BNB is also an option – this is a great alternative to get to know Hobart and its surroundings.

Parking.

Parking in the vicinity of the School of Creative Arts is fairly limited.
There are paid parking spots in Hunter Street.
Meter or voucher street parking in the area is mostly restricted to 1 or 2 hours.
